A Nairobi businessman and communication consultant has asked the inspector general of police and the Director of Criminal Investigation, Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim Amin to investigate a Mr. Antony Kariuki. In a statement, Evans Wafula alleges that he lost  Kshs. 460,000 to Mr. Antony Kariuki, in what he believed is a syndicate organized and run by Mr. Antony Kariuki.  The syndicate involves senior officers from the firearms licensing bureau and a ring of criminal enterprise that include Mr. Antony Kariuki. According to Mr. Wafula, he has reported the matter to Kilimani Police Station and at Kyumbi Police station, and despite making formal complaints, the arrest and apprehension of Mr. Antony Kariuki and his accomplice have not been instituted. In June 2022, police arrested a businessman who was allegedly found in possession of a cache of weapons, including 22 high-calibre firearms and 565 rounds of ammunition. A serial Air bnb swindler is wanted after booking into a Machakos based Air bnb and running away without payments. Bob Oluoch of mobile number 0726163248, the said swindler is said to have booked into Machakos Boma Yangu Air bnb on the pretence that he will pay for the accommodation only to run away without meeting his end of the bargain. According to records at Machakos Central police station Oluoch booked into the premises on 27th and 28th of February 2026 and did not make any payments before vanishing in thin air thereafter. Property is also claimed to have been missing in the said house upon checking by the owner later in the day. Investigations still continue to ascertain if the property got lost during, after of before Oluoch hired the premises. Anyone with information of his whereabouts is kindly asked to report to Machakos police station or the nearest police post in Kenya.
