Kisii Opinion Leaders Back KANU Nairobi Senate Aspirant John Ochoti

Nairobi KANU senatorial aspirant John Ochoti yesterday received a major boost in his bid after he was endorsed by Kisii community opinion leaders in Nairobi.

During a meeting where Ochoti made discussions with community opinion leaders drawn from the community in Kangemi, in Nairobi's Westlands constituency, Ochoti said that he aims at providing inclusive leadership for all Nairobi residents noting that he will be the eyes of all Nairobians when he gets to the senate.

Ochoti thanked the leaders who endorsed him and called on them to continue spreading word on his candidature across the entire county.

"Today I am very happy that you have had faith in me as your next senator. As you know, I am running on a KANU ticket which is in Azimio La Umoja. KANU being chama cha baba na mama we are fully behind Baba Raila Odinga as the Presidential candidate and Martha Karua  his running mate," Ochoti said.

Exuding confidence that Azimio la Umoja One Kenya will clinch seats in Nairobi and the rest of the country, Ochoti said that as a KANU Senator, he will keep an eye on the Nairobi county government to ensure that Nairobians get services that they deserve.
"I promise you that is we walk together like you have committed today, we shall have a KANU Senator keeping the checks and balances on the leadership at City hall and in the Senate, I will ensure more resources come to Nairobi so that we all have the good services that we much desire," Ochoti added.

Ochoti has called on Nairobi residents to elect leaders based on their development track record and their promise to change the society and not party affiliation saying that his party KANU had the best ideologies and he should therefore be seen as an equal candidate against the backdrop of euphoric tendencies that sweep across the country.

Ochoti maintained that time has come for leaders to be voted not based on party euphoria but their ability and will to transform the society.

“I am asking you to vote for me and other positive minded candidates based on what we want to achieve for Nairobi and not just what party one is telling you to join,” Ochoti said.

Ochoti has committed to deliver the senate seat to KANU and Azimio La Umoja Coalition at the August 9th general elections.
