Machakos Senatorial aspirant John Katuku Praises Azimio's Manifesto

Machakos, Tuesday 7th June, 2022: Machakos Senate candidate John Mutua Katuku has lauded the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition party Manifesto that was launched yesterday.

Speaking today, Katuku said that the Manifesto was a clear indication of a bright future.

“We all listened to Raila Odinga’s vision for Kenya in his manifesto and I am very impressed with his agenda,” Ochoti said. “The issue of Baba care which will provide quality healthcare for every Kenyan is a program at the right time and will be very beneficial to Kenyans,” he added.

Raila has promised to develop a healthcare plan that will cover all Kenyans as well as introduce a social welfare program.

According to Katuku, the program to help single mothers will be very beneficial to especially people in Nairobi’s slum areas.

Speaking on the Mitumba debate, Katuku said that Raila did not threaten to close down mitumba business but revive the textile industry. “Even William Ruto just recently indicated that he will ban importation of mitumba.  Raila never said that he will ban Mitumba but will revive the textile industry to make local businesses more viable,” he said.

John Mutua Katuku has also said that support of single mothers will be a game changer in society and called on Kenyans to rally behind Raila Odinga’s Presidential bid to ensure that these vulnerable group in society is taken care of.

Katuku said that single mothers have never been considered and now that Raila has thought of their plight is a big reason to celebrate.

“I have never seen a presidential candidate think of single mother. Now they have a reason to smile because their plight will be looked at,” Katuku said.

Katuku also said that free education as has been envisioned in the Azimio La Umoja manifesto will benefit many children in Kenya who now have a chance to get an education from Primary School all the way to University.

“Under Azimio government, single mothers have been looked at and even better, school will be free up to university meaning that no child will miss school due to school fees,” he said.

“The issue of Baba care which will provide quality healthcare for every Kenyan is another program that will be very beneficial to Kenyans,” Katuku added.
