Katuku: Politics of Deceit Have Ruined The Development of Machakos

Political lies and unfulfilled promises have led to wastage of resources and lack of proper oversight in Machakos county.

This is according to incoming Senator Hon. John Mutua Katuku who claims to have been swindled into abandoning his senatorial bid in the last by election in the county.

While meeting the people in Machakos, Katuku said that he was forced to abandon the race in 2021 after he was promised appointment to a senior government position in the national government that would have placed him in a good position to lobby for more development in the region.

Katuku who was running on a Maendeleo ChapChap Party ticket was prevailed on through his arty leader Governor Alfred Mutua to abandon the race despite his objections.

Little did he know it was just political deceit as the promises were never met after the by-election up to date.

"These lies led to our county getting an incompetent Senator Kavindu Muthama, who knew nothing to do with oversight over the spending in the county government", regretted Katuku.

"Wastage and blatant misuse of public resources in the Alfred Mutua led administration has since continued while the Machakos residents are suffering", added Mundu as he is famously known to the Machakos people.
"These political conmanship must now come to an end by electing trustworthy and competent leaders. That is why I decided to run on a People’s Trust Party ticket to liberate our people", he added.

The former finance and water minister has promised to offer reliable oversight over the next Machakos county administration as required by law to avoid misappropriation of public funds since he has the required experience in legislation, representation and oversight mtters in Parliament.

Head of Firearms Criminal Enterprise on The Run, Being Pursued by DCI

A Nairobi businessman and communication consultant has asked the inspector general of police and the Director of Criminal Investigation, Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim Amin to investigate a Mr. Antony Kariuki. In a statement, Evans Wafula alleges that he lost  Kshs. 460,000 to Mr. Antony Kariuki, in what he believed is a syndicate organized and run by Mr. Antony Kariuki.  The syndicate involves senior officers from the firearms licensing bureau and a ring of criminal enterprise that include Mr. Antony Kariuki.
