Ms President Lucy Mworia Salutes Raila for Nominating Karua as Running-Mate

The Devolution Empowerment Party (DEP) Azimio la Umoja coalition representative and Isiolo North parliamentary contestant Lucy Mworia has commended Azimio’s presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga for nominating Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua as his running mate.

Mworia who is Ms President Reality TV Show contestant termed Mr Odinga’s move as a “great historical moment for Kenya.”
 
She said Monday, May 16th, 2022 marked a historic day for the country, with the nomination of Karua who is destined to be the country’s first female deputy president, should Mr Odinga win the August 9 election.
 
“This is a historic day for Kenya. For the first time in this nation’s history, the real possibility of a truly inclusive and representative leadership is possible and within reach.
 
“Today, a glass ceiling has been shattered,” Mworia said in a statement on Monday.
 
She pointed out that Ms Karua is the capable and resolute “Iron Lady” of Kenya politics, adding that her appointment is a great honour to Kenyan women.
 
“It is a great honour for me to have witnessed this moment in our country’s history.
“The Rt. Hon. Odinga and Hon Karua are like-minded individuals who have been fighting on the right side of history for several decades,” added Mworia.
The coming together of Mr Odinga and Ms Karua, Mworia said, is a strong signal that the combination of leadership is for change.

Head of Firearms Criminal Enterprise on The Run, Being Pursued by DCI

A Nairobi businessman and communication consultant has asked the inspector general of police and the Director of Criminal Investigation, Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim Amin to investigate a Mr. Antony Kariuki. In a statement, Evans Wafula alleges that he lost  Kshs. 460,000 to Mr. Antony Kariuki, in what he believed is a syndicate organized and run by Mr. Antony Kariuki.  The syndicate involves senior officers from the firearms licensing bureau and a ring of criminal enterprise that include Mr. Antony Kariuki. According to Mr. Wafula, he has reported the matter to Kilimani Police Station and at Kyumbi Police station, and despite making formal complaints, the arrest and apprehension of Mr. Antony Kariuki and his accomplice have not been instituted.
