Mwengi Mutuse Call on Uhuru, Raila to Urgently Unite Azimio
Kibwezi West incoming member of Parliament Hon. Mwengi Mutuse has called on President Uhuru Kenyatta and his handshake brother who is also Azimio coalition’s Presidential flag-bearer Raila Odinga to urgently unite warring factions in the outfit.
In an open letter shared on his social media pages, the former chief of staff in Machakos county has expressed confidence that with unity, Azimio coalition is poised to win in the upcoming general elections.
"I humbly urge President Uhuru Kenyatta as Chair of Azimio council and Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga to move with speed and end the disagreements within Azimio partner parties. As it were, even friendly fire Kills. In my interactions with Kenyans, it’s clear that the open dissatisfaction by leaders of partner parties is confusing wananchi and may advantage our political opponents if not addressed urgently", he said.
Hon Mutuse continued, "Azimio, founded on the democratic principles of inclusivity and sharing of power and resources, should not allow itself to suffer the opposite of these noble goals. President Uhuru Kenyatta and Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, please resolve these differences urgently. We have very little time left to August 9th General election".
Mwengi Mutuse is eyeing the Kibwezi West seat on a Maendeleo ChapChap Party ticket and is currently considered as the favourite to clinch the seat.
