Thank You Raila for Considering a Woman in Karua as Your Running-Mate," Katuku Applauds

“History is calling us to produce for Kenya’s first female Deputy President, with wise move made by Kenya’s fifth president Raila Amolo Odinga” remarked Senate aspirant Hon. John Mutua Katuku.

Katuku who is party leader of People's Trust Party, a constituent party of the Azimio coalition, welcomed the decision by Raila of giving women a chance to be leaders by picking Karua as his running mate of a major political movement in Kenya.

Katuku said the move was good for Raila and that it will give women hope that they can be leaders at the level of a deputy president.

Katuku who worked with Karua in former president Mwai Kibaki described her as a seasoned leader whose impact as the second-in-power would benefit the entire country.

“Her record speaks for itself. Karua is one of the formidable female politicians in the country who have the ability to sway crowds towards a particular direction,” Katuku said.

The firewater and finance minister who is seeking the Machakos senatorial seat on a PTP ticket said Karua was the best choice of running mate basing on her record and experience in management, law and politics.

“It is not rocket science, to see the value of Martha, she is a national figure who has been a justice minister and her record in upholding the rule of law speaks for itself,” Katuku said.

“She is a committed woman known for her integrity and astuteness. We are now in the support corner for her, irrespective of which political party we come from,” concluded Katuku.

Head of Firearms Criminal Enterprise on The Run, Being Pursued by DCI

A Nairobi businessman and communication consultant has asked the inspector general of police and the Director of Criminal Investigation, Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim Amin to investigate a Mr. Antony Kariuki. In a statement, Evans Wafula alleges that he lost  Kshs. 460,000 to Mr. Antony Kariuki, in what he believed is a syndicate organized and run by Mr. Antony Kariuki.  The syndicate involves senior officers from the firearms licensing bureau and a ring of criminal enterprise that include Mr. Antony Kariuki. According to Mr. Wafula, he has reported the matter to Kilimani Police Station and at Kyumbi Police station, and despite making formal complaints, the arrest and apprehension of Mr. Antony Kariuki and his accomplice have not been instituted.
