Waita and Katuku, The Dynamic Duo of Machakos

 
Governorship aspirant Nzioka Waita and senatorial frontrunner John Katuku have emerged as the guys to beat in the forthcoming general elctions in Machakos. 

This is according to the latest opinion polls carried in all the sub counties in Machakos by a leading media company in Kenya.

Nzioka Waita an accomplished technocrat who is flying the CCU flag in the gubernatorial race has teamed up with senatorial aspirant Hon. Mutua Katuku, a former Water and Finance minister in the late former President Mwai Kibaki's government. 

Katuku is credited with major water and infrastructure projects in Machakos during his tenure as member of Parliament for Mwala constituency and stint as cabinet minister.

An eloquent debater, Katuku is seen as the best person to offer oversight to incoming governor Nzioka Waita due to their good working chemistry and understanding of devolution matters.

Hon. Katuku who is vying on a People's Trust Party ticket is also being fronted as the Kamba kingpin in the Azimio Coalition since the departure of Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Both Waita and Katuku have called on the people of Machakos to rally behind Azimio Coalition to enable more development to be achieved in the county.

Head of Firearms Criminal Enterprise on The Run, Being Pursued by DCI

A Nairobi businessman and communication consultant has asked the inspector general of police and the Director of Criminal Investigation, Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim Amin to investigate a Mr. Antony Kariuki. In a statement, Evans Wafula alleges that he lost  Kshs. 460,000 to Mr. Antony Kariuki, in what he believed is a syndicate organized and run by Mr. Antony Kariuki.  The syndicate involves senior officers from the firearms licensing bureau and a ring of criminal enterprise that include Mr. Antony Kariuki. According to Mr. Wafula, he has reported the matter to Kilimani Police Station and at Kyumbi Police station, and despite making formal complaints, the arrest and apprehension of Mr. Antony Kariuki and his accomplice have not been instituted.
