Nairobi Voter Files Petition To a Thailand University Questioning Kagure’s Degree
The validity of the degree attained by business woman and Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Agnes Kagure has been questioned.

A Nairobi voter Chekai Musa has written to Chiang Mai Rajabhat University in Thailand seeking to be furnished with information in regard to the degree that Kagure used in getting clearance to contest for the city’s gubernatorial seat in the forthcoming August 9, general elections.

Musa who is a Security Analyst and Researcher wrote to the Chiang Mai Rajabhat University Vice Chancellor saying the matter is of public interest in Kenya.

Kagure is a Kenyan insurance executive, businesswoman, and a gender activist, also the founder and Managing Principal of The Insurance Consulting Group (ICG), an independent insurance agency in Kenya who rose from being a house help is contesting for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat as independent candidate in the forthcoming general elections.
“It has come to our attention here in Kenya that your university has been issuing fake degrees and certificates to foreign students. In this respect, we request for the information about the validity of the degree of one Mrs Agnes Kagure who alleges to have raduated from your university in 2014,” said the voter.

In the letter, Musa says:”Mrs Agnes Kagure alleges to have graduated from your university with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2014. We therefore request Chiang Mai Rajabhat University to share with us the details of when Mrs Kariuki was enrolled in your institution and how many she took to complete her studies at the university.”
Musa wrote that there a are a number of cases of other Kenyans who claim to have studied at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University but their character do not match the courses they purport to have graduated in.  

“This is a matter of public interest here in Kenya and it is very necessary that Chiang Mai Rajabhat University responds appropriately within five days. We will take the action of petitioning the bicameral legislative branch of the Government of Thailand in the university will not have responded within five days,” warned Musa.
