Senator Kavindu Muthama Celebrates Azimio Manifesto
Machakos, Saturday 11th June, 2022: Machakos Senator Agnes Kavindu who is also the Wiper Party flag bearer has lauded the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition party Manifesto that was launched in Nairobi.
The Wiper Senator candidate said that the Manifesto was a clear indication of a bright future for Kenyans and that the support of single mothers, free education and quality healthcare will be a game changer in society.
Kavindu called on Kenyans to rally behind Raila Odinga’s Presidential bid to ensure that these vulnerable groups in society are taken care of, noting that her educational empowerment agenda is commensurate with Raila Odinga’s promise to provide free education from primary school to university level.
The senatorial frontrunner and women activist has been at the forefront in campaigning for better education for Machakos children as well as advocating for peaceful coexistence in the lower eastern region.
Senator Kavindu said that the Azimio La Umoja manifesto which has promised to among other things offer free education will benefit many children in Kenya who now have a chance to get an education from Primary School all the way to University.
Kavindu has during her campaigns has maintained that the Wiper party advocates for peace and co-existence and has placed peace as one of her key pillars alongside education.
“My priorities, once reelected will be legislations in the areas of education and security with an emphasis on technical skills to address the issue of unemployment as well as curb insecurity. If education is catered for in the model I am advocating in Machakos, it would solve several other issues and as you know, dealing with an educated society is easier to solve their problems,” she said.
“If our children who don’t go to college or those who drop out of school enrol for technical education, they will be equipped with skills to allow then secure employment and this will solve the escalation rate of un-employment in our society. When you solve unemployment, you solve insecurity,” Kavindu noted at one of her past interviews.
Kavindu also said that single mothers have never been considered and now Raila Odinga has thought of their plight.
“I have never seen a presidential candidate think of single mother. Now they have a reason to smile because their plight will be looked at,” the senator said.
She said that free education as has been envisioned in the Azimio La Umoja manifesto will benefit many children in Kenya who now have a chance to get an education from Primary School all the way to University.
“Under Azimio government, single mothers have been looked at and even better, school will be free up to university meaning that no child will miss school due to school fees,”she said.
