Viwandani Residents Protest Over Distribution of Expired Food by Makadara MP Aladwa

Aladwa distributes expired foodstuff to residents of Viwandani. The MP who is seeking to get re-elected distributed the food as a campaign tool to woo voters by taking advantage of the skyrocketing food prices. The excited residents received the foodstuff and started praising him but before the dust settled down they realized that they had been duped after checking on the expiry dates of the products and started cursing the MP. The song and dance have now ended and turned into curses and abuses being hurled at Aladwa who was being praised for being their savior to a villain for risking their lives as Viwandani is now in a somber mood. Yesterday the firebrand MCA mobilized close to 10,000 Makadara Azimio supporters to welcome Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga in the constituency.   Area MP George Aladwa was a no show in the mobilization process. “We are always ready for Baba and my main aim is to give baba 2million Votes in Nairobi. The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) intensified its campaigns as it moved to Makongeni ward in Makadara Constituency to woo voters. The party’s candidate for the Nairobi Women’s seat Senator Millicent Omanga aka Mama Miradi and Makadara parliamentary aspirant Athony Waikaka aka Makadara 1 hunted for the votes in Makongeni ward which is currently led by the Nairobi City County Minority leader Peter Imwatok of the opposition Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party. Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga today intensified her campaign bid to clinch the Nairobi County Woman Representative seat with a series of meet the people tours of Kamukunji and Embakasi North constituencies.
