Omanga Calls for Boy-Child Empowerment in Dandora, Kamukunji

Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga today intensified her campaign bid to clinch the Nairobi County Woman Representative seat with a series of meet the people tours of Kamukunji and Embakasi North constituencies.

Omanga, who was leading the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Nairobi Team campaigns in California and Dandora called on the residents of the densely populated constituencies to vote, overwhelmingly for Deputy President William Ruto and other candidates allied to the DP’s UDA across all seats noting that a Kenya Kwanza administration has solutions to the ailing economy.

Accompanied by Embakasi North MP James Gakuya and Dandora Phase 3 UDA MCA candidate Paul Mathu Njambi, the leaders held a consultative meeting at which they engaged a number of chairmen representing different sections of the ward.
Omanga also put smiles on Boda Boda riders at Dandora Total Petrol station where riders were afforded free fuel in a bid to boost their business in the transport sector.

During the meeting with the group chairmen, Omanga noted that over the years, emphasis has been laid on empowering the girl-child and in the process neglecting the boy-child.

This she said will be addressed “I believe it’s a high time we encouraged and empowered the boy-child to bring a proportionate economic balance. Men empowerment is also part of my Agenda as I seek to become the next Nairobi Woman Representative,” Omanga popularly known as “Mama Miradi” said.
Mathu thanked her for gracing his ward and vowed to campaign for her alongside his bid in the ward which is largely a UDA stronghold. Mathu defeated the current MCA Charles Thuo in the UDA primaries and looks set to clinch the seat.

In Kamukunji, Omanga in the company of California ward UDA MCA candidate Hashim Kamau toured Soko ya Maembe and Biafra Sokoni, where she continued to drum up support for UDA candidates.

Omanga promised to make sure that people’s lives changed for the better once the UDA government is elected.
