Katuku Set to Present Nomination Papers to IEBC on Sunday

Machakos senatorial frontrunner Hon. John Mutua Katuku is set to present his nomination papers to the Electoral body tomorrow 29th May, 2022 at 7.45am.

The exercise which will take place at the Machakos Teachers college is posed to be the kick start of a hopeful journey for the former minister to clinch the Senate seat and represent the South Eastern Region as its fourth Senator.
The former Water and finance minister accompanied by his supporters is then expected to proceed for a church service at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ikaatini in Masinga sub county.

Thereafter Katuku is expected to hold public rallies at Ikaatini, Nzukini and Ikalakala markets to engage the public and listen to their concerns and expectations in his quest for the Senate seat.
Katuku who is vying on a People’s Trust Party has an edge over his competitors having served as member of Parliament of the vast Mwala constituency and boasts of numerous development projects initiated in the vast Ukambani region during his stint as minister of water during the former president Kibaki's regime.

Am astute debater, Katuku is expected to carry his zeal into the next Senate assembly and articulate Machakos county issues unlike the current legislator who has been criticised of lack of know-how in terms of legislation and oversight.
