Isiolo, Friday 10th June, 2022: Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Coalition party National Coalition Executive Council (NCEC) second Deputy Treasurer Lucy Mworia has thanked President Uhuru Kenyatta and Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya for spearheading the talks that led to the lifting of the ban on Miraa by the Somali Government. A week after being disowned by the University of Nairobi (UoN), Senator Johnson Sakaja as sought for a degree from Uganda to get clearance to contest for the city’s gubernatorial race. Sakaja was scheduled to present his nomination papers to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) on Sunday, June 5th, 2022, starting at 8am and ending at 9pam but never showed up, till Monday after picking the degree certificate to present to the Nairobi County Returning Officer for clearance to contest. “How comes Sakaja didn’t submit his nomination papers yesterday, Sunday, June 5th, 2022.
